Britania Islands! (Newly Discovered Paradise)

Went home last weekend and attended a high school buddy's weddy! Congratz to my friends Lot and Neah for successfully tying the knot! God bless your life together guys. Thank you for inviting me over to your joyous celebration! : )

And the day after the fun did not stop, no not yet baby. hehe My classmates and the newly weds went to the beautiful Britania Islands in Surigao del Sur by which is now closer to our home and the rest of Caraga, thanks to newly paved shortcut connecting Agusan to Surigao.

Such an amazing place, the islands, the rock formation, the white sands, the crystal clear waters and the blue skies, as any photographer would say picture perfect! and to add only very few people know it yet. Yes! this place is yet to be explored.

I'm also glad the locals are taking good care of it by making sure the visitors don't litter and is keeping their trash in place. : ) Visit Britania Islands in San Agustin if you have the chance. I'm pretty sure you won't regret it! : ) More photos @ Shutter Shoot-Out. : )

Hopefully by doing so will me help become a better illustrator. From now on I will post my new and selected works on Behance. I like it there because it is easier to update, maintain and obviously the best thing about it... it's for FREE! : )

I have been aware of TOMS and it's good mission of giving shoes way back before this contest had happened. Blake and the rest of TOMS have been such an inspiration to me on making a difference in our own little and yet creative ways. It was such an amazing feeling that Threadless would feel the same about them and actually teamed up to support their cause. It's like having something in common with your favorite artist/musician though Threadless is not a musician. hehe

So I decided I have got to join and not let this opportunity pass by. Despite the tight sched of my day time job and running errands for my other job (which is doing sideline graphic design). I force myself to find the time to make this tee design and almost did not finished it until the deadline. But anyway through and all I have done it and loved what is the result. I have hopes in winning but I am not expecting anything. I'm just glad that I have been a part of TOMS in my own little creative way.

Shutter Shoot-Out! is our past time collaboration with my good friend Juzz. We like to shoot people and everything else just for fun. This project had evolve from covering our friends and their friends weddings and also from taking pictures of the getaways we sometimes do to help us not go totally trigger happy. : )

Death Blooms

Inspired by the song of the same title done by the metal band Mudvayne and partly also by the song "Learning How to Die" by Jon Foreman of Switchfoot. I have been pondering on death lately, Is it really the end? Is it really that bad? Is there beauty on it? Well anyway I just love the lesson learned that the more we are aware of death, the more we realize how short and fragile life is and that we should try to make the most out of it.
